Edielynn Cardona, LPC
Hello, I’m Edielynn Cardona, a Licensed Professional Counselor and the owner of Starting Point, LLC.
With more than 12 years of experience in the mental health field, I have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. My approach to therapy is individualized and evidence-based, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Multidimensional Family Therapy techniques.
I am passionate about helping individuals recognize their strengths, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful change in their lives. I believe that clients are the experts on their own lives and experiences and should remain at the center of the therapeutic process. As your therapist, I will provide a supportive and compassionate environment while also challenging you to grow, build resilience, and work toward your personal goals.
My goal is to empower clients to achieve lasting wellness, strengthen relationships, and develop the tools needed to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
In addition to providing therapy, I specialize in autism evaluations and assessments. I am committed to conducting comprehensive, individualized evaluations through collaboration with families, community providers, and educational teams to ensure that recommendations are tailored to each person’s unique strengths and needs. I strive to help individuals and families better understand the diagnostic process, navigate treatment options, and access appropriate supports and services. Through this process, I aim to provide clear guidance and meaningful recommendations that empower families to make informed decisions and confidently advocate for their needs.
